Faces of Careforth: Pauline Adams
Meet Pauline Adams, Executive Assistant to our CEO, whose dedication and compassion shine in everything she does. In her nine months with the Careforth team, Pauline has become an invaluable part of the company, known for her reliability, organization, and how she helps every day run a little smoother.
What makes Pauline’s story especially meaningful is that her connection to caregiving extends beyond her professional role. At home, she’s a caregiver for her grandmother living with dementia. Her dual perspective as both a Careforth associate and caregiver gives Pauline a deeply personal understanding of the families we serve.
What is your role and how long have you worked at Careforth?
I have been with Careforth for 9 months and I am the Executive Assistant to Careforth CEO Marc Russo.
What inspired you to join the Careforth team?
The support Careforth provides to caregivers really resonated with me personally.
How do you support families and caregivers in your role, and why is it important?
I view my role as Executive Assistant as a strategic partner to the CEO. My goal is to anticipate needs, streamline priorities, and serve as an extension of the CEO. When I succeed in my role, I can help Marc lead with focus which will positively impact Careforth and the work we do to support families and caregivers.
Do you have a personal connection to caregiving that you’re comfortable sharing? If so, what is it?
I am currently the guardian and caregiver of my grandmother who has dementia. I understand how important it is to have support; just hearing from someone that you are doing the right thing means so much. Careforth goes above and beyond providing support that is crucial to the caregiver and the care recipient.

What do you enjoy most about your role?
Supporting a CEO provides a unique vantage point into the leadership strategy, operations, and company growth. I am eager to contribute while continuing to learn from that level of leadership.
How do you contribute to our company’s mission and values?
Careforth’s core values are lead with heart, cultivate trust, and go beyond. As an Executive Assistant, I try to lead with heart by showing empathy, listening with intention, and supporting others with care. I build trust through authenticity and reliability, and I aim to go beyond by finding better, more efficient ways to support our leaders and teams. Living these values allows me to contribute meaningfully to our mission while continuing to grow personally and professionally.
What’s something interesting about your job that people may not know?
Something most people may not realize about being an Executive Assistant is how close you are to the heartbeat of the organization. You’re in the room where decisions take shape and you see the big picture and the small details all at once. This is important when trying to connect people, priorities, and ideas in ways that help everything run seamlessly behind the scenes.
How do you maintain a positive work-life balance in this field?
I try to take time for myself every week. I see a personal trainer and make sure that I never miss a session because that time helps me de-stress.
What is one fun fact about you that your colleagues may not know about?
I’m pretty much an open book—I love weightlifting and I love to cook. Two fun facts!
What is your favorite quote?
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13
