Faces of Careforth - Craig Robida

Faces of Careforth: Craig Robida

For many family caregivers, reaching out for support can be an important turning point in their caregiving journey. Our Contact Center team helps make that experience as welcoming and supportive as possible, connecting families with the information, guidance, and resources they need while leading every conversation with empathy. Behind those interactions is a team committed to making caregivers feel heard from the very first call.

Craig Robida has been leading that team as Contact Center Supervisor since 2025, bringing a leadership style shaped by years in hospitality. In this edition of Faces of Careforth, Craig shares what drew him to Careforth and the work he finds most meaningful.

What is your role and how long have you worked at Careforth?

I started at Careforth in November 2024 as a Care Advisor and have been the Contact Center Supervisor since July 2025.

What inspired you to join our team?

After many years in hospitality leadership, I was ready for a change that would allow for better work-life balance while still giving me the opportunity to lead and support a team. What stood out to me about Careforth was its mission and the meaningful impact it has on families and caregivers. That combination made it an easy decision to join an organization where the work truly matters.

How do you support families and caregivers in your role, and why is it important?

I support caregivers by investing in the growth and success of our care advisors—leading with empathy, setting clear expectations, and continuously improving how we serve families. By building a strong, supported team and streamlining processes, we’re able to make a positive impact at scale. This work is important because it ensures every caregiver feels understood, supported, and confident in the help they receive.

Do you have a personal connection to caregiving that you’re comfortable sharing? If so, what is it?

Like many people, I’ve witnessed the impact caregiving can have on families. That perspective helps me stay grounded and reinforces the importance of approaching every situation with empathy and respect.

How does your work contribute to Careforth’s mission and values?

I try to support Careforth’s mission by finding small ways each day to make things easier for my team and the families we serve. I focus on leading with empathy and being present for my team so they feel supported and confident in their roles. When our care advisors feel prepared and supported, it naturally carries through to the caregivers they help, which is what makes this work so meaningful.

What’s something interesting about your job that people may not know?

One aspect people may not realize is how much collaboration and data analysis go into supporting caregivers effectively. Behind every call, there’s a continuous effort to improve processes, identify trends, and ensure we meet the needs of both caregivers and the communities we serve.

How do you maintain a positive work-life balance in this field?

I work to maintain balance by staying organized, setting boundaries, and being intentional about taking time to recharge. Careforth’s culture really supports that by encouraging us to use our paid time off (PTO) and prioritize time with family. That support, along with a strong team, helps me stay grounded and present in my role.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in the healthcare space?

Be prepared to lead with empathy and patience. Healthcare roles require strong communication skills, adaptability, and a genuine desire to help others. If you stay focused on the impact you’re making, it can be an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling career.

What is one fun fact about you that your colleagues may not know about?

A fun fact about me is that I’m a certified commercial pilot. I got my certification in 2008 and worked as a flight instructor for a short time. I still enjoy flying whenever I get the chance, now more as a hobby.
